I was introduced to the Oboz Bridger Mid Waterproof hiking boot when I was looking for a pair of warm and comfortable late-season boots. I did my normal research by surfing different websites. I saw plenty of different options and became more confused and unsure which pair would be best for my needs.
So I decided to do some old-fashioned research and went to a few brick-and-mortar stores and did not find anything that truly fit the bill. Then I went to Maine Sport Outfitters in Rockport and that is when a very helpful and knowledgeable staff member introduced me to Oboz. I have to say he knew what he was talking about.
The Oboz Bridger Mid Waterproof is a very comfortable and warm pair of boots. The arch support and heel cup keep my feet from getting sore or fatigued.
The day after I picked them up we had non-stop rain so I took this opportunity to see how well the waterproofing worked. I am sure I looked like a giant kid walking through water puddles, but I have to say they performed great — my feet stayed nice and dry.
The Granite Peak Outsole also has great traction in light snow and mud. I also really like that I don’t feel every little brach or stone under my feet.
I really don’t have anything negative to say about these boots, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pair of late-season boots.
