The Halo XL450 is a great rangefinder for the budget-minded hunter. For the value, the XL450 has all of the features you need in the field.
The XL450 distance and angle measurements are very accurate as well as having a scan mode that allows you to scan the area and get a continuous measurement reading. The controls are very easy to use and easily accessed. The size of the XL450 fits perfectly in your hands to allow easy control and handling. The focus ring operates very smoothly and cleanly.
The XL450 power save mode turns the unit off after 20 seconds. It turns back on with the single press of the button and gives a readout in less than a second.
The only part of the XL450 that I would say is a drawback is that the readout is in a black text — which is completely fine on a sunny day, but as it gets darker, the readout can be a bit hard to see. I would not let this stop me from buying it and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good reliable rangefinder.
